Rockstar Tantrum

While working at Abstraction we attempted to make a mobile game and Rockstar Tantrum was the result, sadly the game was not very well received even though it was a fun little game.

Break everything

The goal of the game is to tap the various things on your screen to break them, as you are a beginning rockstar you are in cheap motels and don't have a lot of nice stuff to break, however as you get more popular you get placed in better hotels making the damages you do way bigger and thus scoring bigger points.

Thermal Throttling

One thing we learned while developing was that mobile phone specs really are worthless, we quickly learned that most phones are just not designed to run a game for a long time, they advertise with how fast their cpu's are but in reality if you run these at 100% you will overheat and terminal throttling kicks in and make your game run at 5 fps. we managed to balance the performance so it doesn't do this but it made it very clear why most mobile games are so static and "boring'
